Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Carquinez Charters. By booking a charter with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Full payment is required at the time of booking to reserve your charter.
Cancellations by Client: Cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled charter are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable but can utilize credit for a reschedule of equal value at a later date. No shows forfeit a refund of the entire cost of the charter.
Cancellations by Carquinez Charters:
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule charters due to adverse weather conditions, mechanical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, clients will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.
Safety is our top priority. If weather conditions are deemed unsafe by the captain, the charter may be rescheduled or canceled. Clients will be notified as soon as possible in such events.
Conduct: Clients are expected to behave in a manner that ensures the safety and enjoyment of all passengers and crew. Any illegal activities are strictly prohibited. While marijuana is legal in California, federal law governs maritime vessels, and marijuana remains illegal under federal law. Therefore, the possession or use of marijuana is not permitted onboard. Additionally, smoking of any kind is prohibited. Disruptive behavior may result in the termination of the charter without a refund.
Damages: Clients are responsible for any damages caused to the vessel or its equipment due to negligence or misconduct.
Included: Licensed captain, fuel, safety equipment, and amenities specific to the chosen charter package.
Excluded: Personal items, fishing licenses, and any additional services not specified in the charter package.
Alcohol: Moderate alcohol consumption is permitted for passengers of legal drinking age. Excessive consumption leading to unsafe behavior is prohibited.
Drugs: The use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited on board.
Carquinez Charters carries standard marine insurance policies. However, clients participate in activities at their own risk. We are not liable for personal injuries, loss, or damage to personal property during the charter.
At Carquinez Charters, we are committed to preserving the beauty and health of our local waterways. Discarding trash, food, or any other waste into the water is strictly prohibited.
Carquinez Charters reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes prior to their charter date.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California.
By proceeding with a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
